 I think its tru that the child is the product of her life cuase the baby is a part of both of the parents the mo gave birth and the dad helped a baby should be taken care oo by the birth parents beacause first of all you had the baby so it yours. I think its better for a baby to be raised by the birth parents because he or she will be happy to know he/she has parents that put food on their plate and keep a roof over his head i think he/she should be raised with both parents around because most of their life they are deppressed or become suicidal they somtimes really end up on the streets dealing drugs or buying them or maybe even live on the streets for the rest of their lifes so thats why I think babys should be raised by both of the birth parents or if you give them away to an orphanage alot of the time they get bullied at school for not having both parent they end up really badly hurt or sometimes even wind up dead thats why I think both of the birth  parents should raise the child thats my opinion.

I think it is because different celebrities are heroes to different people for different reasons. The effects it is having on our culture is negative. People are beginning to think that everything these celebrities do and don't get in trouble for are alright, such as public drunkeness, drugs, and abuse of loved ones. Young people are buying into the most negative parts, drugs and alcohol. They hear their favorite musical artists singing about drinking and getting high, and they begin to believe that its 'cool', which is NOT a good direction to influence the countries future towards. Celebrities don't even get a fair sentence for jail time to serve for their crimes. They serve much less time than any one else in the public. This makes many think that they too can commit crimes and also get away with just a slap on the wrist. I think that we would be much better off WITH OUT celebrities. Heroes set a better example. They do not drink, snort coke, or hurt the innocent. They are not greedy. They were positive role models, they set moral values for the young. they were heroes to EVERYONE, not just SOME people.

From my point i think that the society worships the celebrities more than their heroes because they think that the celebrities are more importan than family or their learning values of their coulture. People just think that having celebrities will teach them about their values and tell them whats right or wrong when they dont even do anything like that. Celebrities are nothing just people famous for doing something their good at. At some point the society thinks that its better to pay attention to the celebrities instead of learning what they're supposed to. They ignore their problems and get into those talented people because they dont have anything better to do. The thing that's effecting our cultures is that they learn about celebrites and just forget about their family or their learning values about their coulture. Children that grow up just dont even know about their values. Children go off doing what they want looking at the celebrities thinking that whatever they do they'll do it to without thinking it twice. Another way that it effects their values as a culture is by them not even knowing who was a hero to them or also not knowing who was important in their lifetime. They care less about heroes because they know they're the ones dying not them so they run around town doing whatever they want.          I Think that the society worships celebrities more than the heroes because people like the glamor, and the drama more than the facts. They like story lines, and conflict. Humans are just attracted to the drama and conflict because that is just a part of who we are naturally. People Are very glamorized for television. In the real world, They have their own ups and downs. In other words, the drama that keeps you on your toes.
         People's values have lowered over the years. People would rather meet somebody who is on their favorite television show, rather than meet somebody who has found a cure for cancer, or maybe HIV Aids. People need to set their priority's straight. a television star could be a great actor, or even good looking, and they get all the attention just because of that. Meanwhile heroes get no attention just because they don't act or sing. We shouldn't be focusing on celebrities. We should be focusing on the people who may save our lives one day.

I think some people think hereos arent real and they are just in cartoons and movies just acting. and maybe celebrities can help and give you good advise for something your gaving trouble with. also because other people can do good and be on t.v. like the celebrities and be famous. celebrities can act, be funny, and do all thing people will love and i guess hereos, all they do is fight and save lifes, thats a good thing but that seems kinda boring because they do it everyday. celebrities, i guess do different things everyday and people love that kind of stuff because they get to see new things that they make. they also make clothes, perfumes, cds, and movies and kids love that.

    Part of that can be true. I know that because my dad isnt the best dad because he is an alcoholic and a drug addict. I know for a fact i dont want to be like him because i want better for myself. I know that my dad ruined his life and my little brothers and sisterslife and i dont want to be like that for my kids. I think that most kids like me dont want to be like like their parents or parent. because they know what it could be like if they ended up the same but then theres the kids that think that's normal to have a drug addict parent so they think if they arent like that then they will "dissapoint" their parents.     Personally i dont agree with this because of personal experiences. Compaired to my mom, i am nothing like her and though i have a thing or two in common with her i proudly say i am not like her or my "father." I have two major reasons why i disagree with this.
   The first reason i disagree with this is because of my high school life so far compaired to my moms. She use to play every sport plus was so involved in school and as for me ... I dont like school activities or social stuff like that. My dad didnt even got to high school so that just proved a point. My mom also had a c avarage in school and i get mostly straight a's.
     The second reason is because my mom was a fairly happy child growing up and me not so much. my mom always tells me that high school should be the best time of your life but i dont think so. I feel like high school is just a place to go for making friends and getting to meet new people and find relationships. my mom is also a positive thinker while i usually think of the negative side of things.
    In the end i guess everybody has their own oppinon and this is just mine. this was just to soully express my personal oppinon on this particular subject. My reasoning on this is basiclly just because if personal reasons and outlooks on this.

I am going to talk you about people being aised by what their parents became or what envirement they/ we grew up in. What I think of this I dont think its true because everyone wants to be want. Also you may not have your parents there by your side to tell you about the good things and the bad things.      Some people say that a child is the product of her environment. I believe that it can be true bun in my case it is not. I have been raised by my father mostly. My father is strict and grumpy usually. He has his moments where he can be nice. People usually describe me as a friendly, happy person.
     My father is not an athletic person. I play sports. I do kickboxing, Brazilian Jujitsu, and cheer leading. Although both my father and I love the outdoors environment. My mother hasn't been around in my life much, but when she is, she is always drinking and smoking. I do not support any form of tobacco/drugs, and alcohol.
     Neither of my parents have been to college. I plan to graduate high school, and then go to college. I want to pursue a career in Psychology.
     Many people do not turn out like their parents. For example Lady gaga's parents are very conservative and she is not at all.

Some people say a child is the product of his/her environment. What I think of this is that it's not true. I think people become the way they are because of the choices and actions they make. They are responsible for their choices. No one can stop them from doing what they want to do. They have a choice, they don't have to follow others footsteps. I live in the ghetto. Everyone there I know, they they sell drugs, dropped out, and gang bang. My family, my three oldest siblings dropped out, got pregnant, and drink. Because of those choices they made, life isn't easy for them. They've been to prison, can't find jobs, and can't supportt their families. People assume that me and my two brothers would do the same. We would drop out and ruin our lives. My brother Procter chose to go to college. He didn't want to become the stereotype in our family. He's the first in our family to graduate high school, go to college, and get a good job. I choose to stay in school. I don't want to turn out like my older siblings. I choose to be more successful and I'm committed to that. So I think it's your choices and actions you do that gets you to where you are.

    So far this class is 150% better than my old english class over at Reno. All we did was one assignment a day and never learned anything plus the teacher was so slow. With you i love how you go at a good pace and make it fun to learn.
    For me I don't like school but i actually look forward to this class and wish my old teacher Mr .Nurree was half as fun as  you. I love this class and I'm so glad that i have you this year. the best part for me in this language arts class was the out-loud reading and the Hero's Journey segment. I liked the out-loud because it made it easier on the class and eenhances our reading skills.       This class has been a blast for me, I wish i had this class everyday.The things i like the most are when we did the blind response, even though i fell off the curb, it was good to know how it feels to be blind. Your a cool teacher and sometimes your making some jokes. About the work thanks to you because you keep them. Like portfolio's you keep my work there too. I'm lucky to have you in my AS because sometimes we go to the gym. You don't care if we talk while were taking a test. I like these class better than everything. My other class is boring. If we talk we get in trouble but this class we didn't get in troule because your a cool teacher.

Dear Monster In My Closet,


 I like this class! This is one of my favorites because I like how we don't write as much, but we read a book then watch a movie about it. Also how you give us a lot of time to do our work,and do our own thing. Which lets the work get done easier, and faster. I also like how we can sit next to who ever want, it keeps every satisfied, and the class doesn't complain. You're a bomb teacher to; you tell us what we're suppose to be doing && then you leave us alone.You have a sense of humor that a lot of teachers don't have.You put laughs into English assignments. Makes students more willing to do it. There's pretty much nothing I dislike about this class!

Dear Altenburg,
    So far this semester has gone well. I like this class and I like your teaching techniques.The only things I thought that were boring in class was when we read the Cay. I thought that book was kinda boring. The good things that I learned a lotfrom was the Castaway movie and the Archetype. I think the resume and the cover letter was great to learn. It helps us prepare for the future. House on Mango Street was a good book to read even though I had already read it in 8th grade English. Rudy was a great movie and it was good for us to understand. Our Journals are good. DOL's help a lot to me with punctuation and grammar and spelling. I'm glad we have our portfolio's because we can leave our paper work there with out having to lose anything with our checklist. So, so far this semester is great:)
